Aqua - Montage by Magweno Aqua - Montage by Magweno
Aqua is an oxymoronic combination of bird and cat, he is a lynxy, dragony, birdy creature who I find very hard to place!

Physically he has a wire armature, faux fur and his head and feet are made of clay. He has been airbrushed with a blue gradient but don't worry, I've spent a lot of time trying to find the right type of paint that will stick to the fur and not affect softness. My previous commissioners and buyers in the past have commented on how the fur retains its softness quality despite the dye, no crunchyness! No dust! And it won't rub off onto your hands.

The clay (it's actually fimo, a polymer clay you bake in a standard oven) has been varnished so the paint won't chip or scratch off. He's been sewn with a ladder stitch and very strong special thread so you won't have to worry about seams ripping. Speaking of seams, they're invisible! You can hunt for them but you won't find them. Invisible seams make him great for photographing from any angle.

His wire armature means that he can be bent into any position you can think of, I've demonstrated some in the product photos. He could lounge on your shelf, ride on your shoulder, sit in a cup, whatever you think is fitting. I'm gonna take this opportunity to mention that he isn't a toy, he's a piece of art meant for gentle, occasional repositioning. I have dropped my dolls numerous times and they aren't any worse for wear, but occasionally you might catch a toe at an unfortunate angle (wooly sweaters are the worst) or a direct blow to the head may dislodge a horn (in saying that it's usually claws and toes that suffer the most). A little dab of super glue will fix any breakages.

If you are worried about posing him then I have a number of videos of other dolls I've made, dragons, kirins, moths, gryphons, all sorts. If you feel like browsing them then here's my channel: [link]

As far as quality goes my dolls can't be beaten. I have been making posable dolls for nearly two years now, I started making them at university and now I make them for a living. I spent every day, every hour I can spare, making, developing, experimenting, networking and generally working my butt off to make sure that these guys are the best! If you have any questions don't hesitate to send me a message, either on DA or to my email, hello @ magweno.com

Please check out my other dolls if Aqua isn't your style, or you can send me a message to check out my custom doll options! That's right I can make a doll specifically for YOU and YOU only! You specify the animals, fur, colours, patterns, anything, you can even send me a drawing and I'll make it. The weirder and wackier the better, I love a challenge.

Thanks for reading and I really hope you like him

It was an interesting texture, not soft but not tacky, kind of like dogs fur.

He's gorgeous and I love the asymmetry of the front and hind legs. The fur is beautiful, and the face is peaceful and adorable.
