Caberfeidh Abdabs by Magweno Caberfeidh Abdabs by Magweno
Caberfeidh (cahber-fey - meaning "deer head") abdabs measure 3" cubed and are now available in my online shop

You can pick the colours for the body and mane or go for a lucky dip! Pictured is a black/black :)

This antlered deer skull design was requested by someone looking for a custom shape. I agreed to produce it for no extra cost as long as they didn't mind if I sold replicas of it, and the caberfeidhs were born. If you have an idea for a skull shape I'd love to hear it!

I hear October is a good time to find them. Glad I became aware of him today. Everything about it is eerily charming.

They'll be rereleased in October 2014 - they were only created and available in Oct 2013 though so I'm not sure what you mean by again?

Ooooh, I thought you had made some more, my bad. My deviations stack is about 3k deep, so there's a good chance I may not have looked at the date and assumed this was a more recent post. Sorry! -.-

I'm terrible at coming up with skull ideas, so I'll just sit back and see what kinds of abdabs you create. o:

Like someone else has mentioned, I can't decide whether I like these or the corvies better. Birds skulls are really cool, yet these guys have antlers...! Oh my goodness they're all so cool.

The caberfeidhs are my personal favourite, the corvies were sculpted so quickly and without a reference so I'm not particularly happy with them, but they're really popular. The caberfeidhs have easily out-sold them though, and I'm dead happy with how they came out so... :D Success!!

Hehe! The corvies were sculpted so quickly I much prefer the caberfeidhs, I spent a long time working on them and I'm so pleased with how they turned out. But the corvies are tiny and cute

Each is pressure cast individually and sometimes the void isn't filled properly so there are little bubbles. I fix all of the big ones, but the ones at the end of the horns I actually kind of like because it looks like he's been in battle or something ^_^ Not all of them have chipped horns, it's a unique feature!
