Cloud's wings open and close folded like real birds wings, it's taken me a month or so to work that one out but I'm really happy with the new method (despite it taking 3 days longer than the old method...) so it's what will be used for bird-winged dolls from now on.

All of these feathers apart from the royal blue ones have been dyed by me using veniard feather dyes. They are a mixture of duck, goose, chicken and quail feathers, the goose and quail feathers moulted by my own birds :)

He has an aluminium wire armature coated in plastic for durability. Ohh I haven't measured him but he's pretty big... Each of those duck quills are about 8" long. His wings are really fun to pose, they move very pleasingly. I'll have a video of them up later and I'll update this deviation when it's up.

I make dolls almost exclusively on commission... If you'd like to be added to the waiting list please send me a note, but please be aware it could be up to a year before I get to you. Prices range from £160-£330.
