Commission: Cerisedolls

This was a commission I got from *Cerisedolls who also has the largest personal collection of my dolls to date (second to me of course)

She asked for an eastern dragon crossed with a cornish rex cat and she wanted it purple, pink and grass green. After agreeing on a design I set to work!

It took a couple of weeks to finish and it's quite big too. I forgot to measure it before I sent it off to her but at a guess I'd say it was about 10" tall.

The mane is bird fur! I didn't know there was such a thing, but I bought a variety pack of feathers from my supplier and they had the perfect colour for this doll in a weird furry style, so I glued them on and they looked great! I think I'll use this feather-mane style more often.

The green spray on its tail has the same story, I think they're goose bivots. I would never, ever buy a colour like that and I would never buy bivots but luckily I had them in the variety pack - talk about useful.

I'm super happy with how this doll came out. The fur is a little crispy - I used acrylic dye - but pretty soft for acrylic dyed fur! It's so nice to see it finished, even though I only got to spend a night with it before *Cerisedolls paid and it got sent away!

I found a load of bright paper too which makes for another slightly more interesting backdrop. Personally I love all those colours together - it really brightened up my Etsy shop for a little bit
