Another shot of Vitriolize! More comming soon!

Commission from *Araktugage.

---

I make my dolls entirely from scratch, staring with a wire armature held together with epoxy putty. I then sculpt the fimo details on and bake the whole thing. Once it's out of the oven I wrap it in quilt batting then measure a pattern and cut the fur. The fur is hand sewn using a ladder stitch to hide the seams, then brushed and painted with dylon fabric paints. Any details are glued on (like feathers or more fur), the fimo painted with acrylics and finally covered in a matt varnish to protect the paint, or gloss varnish on nails, eyes and scales/beaks.

If you would like to commission me the prices are:
50 without wings
70 with wings
I do character designs and custom creatures - ie if you don't have a design I can take three of your favourite animals and make you a doll from them. Please send any commission enquiries by note!

Thanks for looking!

I love the pose and setting in this photo! It really shows his maneuverability and personality. :) This is such a fabulous doll! *Araktugage is very lucky! His wings are amazing, the way you interspersed the black and green is just gorgeous. His facial markings are so striking and beautiful, especially seen through the forest leaves like this. The transition from face to neck is very well done too; I love that fluff poking out of his forehead. :D The detail of the earrings is just... It's all just so fantastic!

Seeing your work makes me so tearfully eager to get our trade done! I'm still working (very slooooowly) on yours between other projects. :tears:

Thanks so much Davina! He's definitely one of my best dolls, I'm so proud of him and sad that he's gone...! The earrings were a fun touch to add, but I think I could have done the painting more justice with better paints.

Oh gosh I haven't started my half yet :S I've just made the armature for *MaryBunnie's and *Vertaki is about to send me the ref for her one @_@ It's all happening at once :XD:

I love the mischievous body language of the pose.

"I'm going to jump onto your back when you pass by and mess with your hair that you've spent hours arranging" or something like that.

You can almost see his tail twitching in anticipation.

Amazing. Simply amazing.
I really love this picture of him...his face sculpt is beautiful! His eyes stand out so nicely and are so piercing, he looks like he's waiting to pounce on something c:
Now are those like bronze loops in his ears for his piercings? Because that is simply amazing ;o; such a neat little added detail! love them <3
Love the green in his wings against the green of the tree leaves o:

Ffff I can't get over how amazing he looks ;o; You really did an amazing job on his...I'm so impressed and so blown away!

Yes those are bronze loops :D I sculpted him, baked him then drilled little holes through his ears and put them through, I did try to paint them gold but it didn't quite work and I didn't think you'd mind them being bronze. They make a cool clinking noise when you move him around.

I'm so, so glad you like him!
