Nox is a bright pink kirin for *scenceable. Janine has commissioned me before, she was responsible for Tariana, so it was nice chatting again and coming up with something with her requirements. When I made Tariana I was really nervous about using bright green feathers and had to send her a photo before I glued them on to make sure she definitely wanted them, but now I'm far more relaxed with crazy colour combinations. I've learnt that often the commissioners suggestions are what work best! Even my reservations about Nela were proved wrong, she came out beautifully despite a strange mix.

Anyway when Janine said 'bright pink with bits of green' I knew exactly what I wanted to do and I'm really happy with how he came out! The gold just makes him look fabulous, and it's the scales and those mad caribou antlers that I'm super proud of

I make all my dolls 100% from scratch, starting with a roll of wire and a lump of fimo. A day or two later I will have changed it into what you see here, it's a craft I've taught myself over the past couple of years and one that deviantart has mostly been responsible for my progress in. The support I've had from the community has meant that I can actually make a living from these dolls and soon Magweno Art Dolls will be an official business
