I don't usually upload prototype pics into my DA but I want your opinion on these guys.

"PINK" I hear you scream. Well, yes. They are just prototypes and I was using up minky fabric I have a feeling is not going to be used fast.

The mint guy is pattern rough #1 and pinkie is pattern and wing rough #2. His neck is too long and makes him look like napoleon dynamite >_>

Minty is stuffed with polypellets only and Pinky is stuffed with… doll stuffing stuff… Minty’s butt is saggy as a result but he feels nicer. Pinky has more form but… Looks too stiff I guess?

Minty’s wings are just minky with one sheet of interfacing
Pinky’s wings have two sheets of interfacing and wire which make them stiffer, not necessarily posable, but held up well enough. I think three sheets of interfacing (or heavier interfacing!) would be much better than wire. Note to self: elongate ends of wings for easier sewing…

Casting took ages but I’m working on that. When I get it right it’ll take at most 15 min.
As an average for the rest…
Pattern cutting: 30 mins
Sewing: 1 hr 30 mins (so many arms!)
Painting: 30 min airbrush prep and sculpt tidying (filling in holes in the cast and stuff), 45 min painting and varnishing. 30 mins for Pinkies wing details.
Finishing: 30 min, glueing, stuffing et al.
Total: 4hrs 30mins ish. That’s pretty quick for me. x_x Gotta get faster tho I think...

What do you think of them? Dreadful colour schemes aside ;)

I love the colors. Minty is adorable. I wish I could just steal him away. *would cuddle so much*

I dunno how to really help though. I don't know anything about your kind of awesome plushy making really. Just that I love them~!

I love the look of Minty, it's the eyes. Big blue eyes. :eyes: And like you said, Pinky's neck's a little long, maybe that's why I like Minty. I really just wanna pick him up and squeeze him >.<
Personally I like the pellets and stuffing combined in dolls. I have a favorite bear who's feet and butt are pellets, rest of him stuffing. It'd help the sagging of Minty's butt I think xD
Color scheme isn't so bad on Minty anyway :p I like it.

My plan with the stuffing is to have various types of beans in the limbs and tail and then some beans but mostly stuffing in the tumbly. To help form but encourage cuddlability. It's surprisingly complicated, like some sort of Squooshiness Science.

It sounds complicated. That's why I admire your work so much <3 I don't have the problem solving skills to get that far, I have to follow patterns step by step. Keep it up, I hope to see more of these adorable moths! :D

I can't follow patterns haha, they confuse me too much! I don't have the patience to work them out!
Got lots of moths coming later today, and more cut out but I ran out of thread haha!
