Peacock-Wolf Montage

This was a commission for crazygirlwithasword. She wanted a peacock/wolf/cheetah hybrid. There isn't much cheetah there other than the little face marking and tail shape, but I think it works nonetheless

They're not actually peacock feathers, they're lady amherst pheasant feathers. I did buy some peacock feathers but I was expecting a half skin and what arrived was FOUR chest feathers!! What a rip off! So I pinned them to my sketchbook for later use.

My quails have been moulting like crazy, every day I pick up hundreds of feathers, so I'm excited for one of the next three commissions which is brown and cream coloured, perfect for using quail feathers! Yes I'm actually going to use feathers from my own birds, how nervewracking ;u;
