Uisge by Magweno Uisge by Magweno
As promised, one water dragon! Uisge is gaelic for water and is pronounced ish-ga, it may sound familiar... Uisge beatha translates to water of life, and is more commonly known and pronounced as "whisky" :drunk:

See the accompanying video here: [link] Which I spent a very long time making

Also, he's for sale!

Why yes, I do take commissions! Send me a note for details. ;)

Haha! A lot of my commissioners aren't rich, just passionate and organised ^_^ The waiting list is about a year long, you'd only need to put away $5 a week to save up for one. Plus, I offer payment schemes on top of that! :D

I used to hate barnacles because they'd tear my hands up while I was clambering monkey style over rockpools when I was little.

They are sharp little buggers, arent they. I do hate the little beasts. They look like pimples on whales and sores on the rocks.

Dragon says: "I'M SO CUTE AND FLUFFY!"

The rest of us say: "It's so fluffy I'm gonna die!"

...Mmm, two movie references. Heh heh.

Okay, for something substantial now. Nice whispiness on the fur, and color gradient.

I adore how this turned out! Of course it's no secret from my own dragon dolls how much i adore blue ^_^ The overlapping sequins look great! I'm using some as well as beads on a asian dragon pair i'm working on now, it's so fun to dew them on the pelt! =D Placing him on a barnicled rock for the photo was brilliant, really adds to the theme =)

Hahaha fun isn't the word I'd use... Sewing on sequins takes forever and gives me a crick in my neck but it looks great haha. Ooh beads that's a cool idea! I thought about getting some little clear beads and sewing them on to look like bubbles on another doll, but I don't know where to find plain clear beads of varying sizes. :( I need to live somewhere where there's a giant haberdashery...

Yeah I think the typical seed beads are too small for most sewing needles, these were slightly bigger, I had a harder time getting the sequins through the needle =) If you can't find anything like that local and for some reason ordering online isn't working out I don't think it would be expensive to ship something flat like beads don't hesitate to ask! ^_^
