Happy Easter everyone! I found 16 quail eggs and five chicken eggs today from my lovely ladies so I have been eating/pickling eggs most of today.
My boyfriend's sister's wedding is in September and they're having a picnic theme. Each table gets a picnic basket full of delicious locally sourced awesome food and homemade chutneys, so my wedding present to them is pickled quail eggs! I just got told they want headdresses too so I think I'm going to be drafted in to make those.
Bleh I get so upset when I release new dolls for sale, I pretty much spend the whole day rushing around the house cleaning with pursed lips and worrying it'll never sell and everyone will hate it.
But today I have masses of chocolate and eggs so I don't mind so much. (:
My market test grant from the Princes Scottish Youth Business Trust came through so I spent it on a vacuum chamber and pump. The pump was a bit of a damp squib so it's been sent back and I should be getter a better one next week. The market test I'm doing is the resin dolls! I have two bodies that have been made up.
The head I sculpted turned out to be too small so I have to re sculpt it, it's taking a while because the eye blanks are too small so I've made a mould for bigger ones and the silicone takes ages to cure and SIGH! You get the idea? It takes a while to get these things organised
I keep pushing it back til next week, then the week after... Sorry!
I wanted to ask, what sort of price would you be happy paying for a resin cast doll? I'm having a tough time working out prices (as usual) so I thought I'd ask
They'd be hand sewn, resin cast, hand painted, extra awesome expensive fur, taxidermy eyes, weighted with plastic pellets and stuffed with polyfill... I think a rough average is around the £100 mark, a few other sellers are settling for thereabouts.
Also what sort of shipping price are you comfortable with? I know if it costs more than £12 for me then I shy away a bit.
