~graveatartThanks for the advice! You're a life saver.
asks: How in the world do you turn the tails inside out once you're done sewing? I've been working on my mini vurms and can't figure out how to do it without tearing or popping thread.
I've made a video that is less than a minute long on how I do this. The bodies are machine stitched, backstitch at top and bottom, then I used a notched aluminium tube to push the end in on itself, and pull the rest of the tube over it. When it comes out of the top, I grab it and pull! Easy peasy.
The tubes are just tubes, which makes it a little easier, but if they ended in a taper it would be the same process, I'd just use a wooden BBQ skewer to make sure the point was pointy.
